Air pollution control and de-dusting in the Arab world are also becoming more and more important. In the last few years, for example, Münstermann has supplied over 30 units for different applications to the United Arab Emirates.

Very recently a further Münstermann de-dusting unit for a screen and crusher plant was taken into operation in a quarry belonging to Stevin Rock (http://www.stevinrock.ae), one of the largest quarry operators in the region.

De-dusting in the desert

The unit is designed for an air volume capacity of 65,000 m³/hour and achieves a residue dust content rate of as little as 10 mg/m³. The unit is used in the classification of limestone. The broken stone is, in the process, passed over a flue duct and a further crusher fitted downstream to a screening section, in which it is divided up into different grain sizes. Finally the screened material is transported by conveyor belts to silos.

Success in the Near East

Stevin Rock has placed its trust in the quality and performance of the Münstermann de-dusting units for the past few years. The filter heads are produced and fitted at Münstermann in Germany. The engineering and the piping comes from Telgte, however, are assembled by local partner contractors on site. As a result qualitatively first class but cost-effective solutions can be offered. The next project for Stevin Rock is pending: four units for the de-dusting and modernisation of a quarry including a stevedoring facility.
