De-dusting of process air in drying plants
Spray and flash dryers belong to the group of convective drying processes in which an appropriate amount of thermal energy is delivered by a stream of air. The suspensions, solutions or fusions to be dried by either spray drying by nozzles or rotating discs, are sprayed and are dried in a direct and counter-current air flow process using hot air. When using the air flow drying process (see Münstermann’s Air Flow Dryers) firm free-flowing materials are dried during the pneumatic conveying in hot air. The dried product is separated in both drying processes by means of a cyclone, a sluice and/or a filter from the stream of air.
For these industrial drying applications we supply high performance air management and de-dusting systems. Depending on the type of dust and the loading up to 150.000m3/hour process or drying air can be cleaned in one filter. Air temperatures of up to 100°C and a relative humidity of over 90% can be processed efficiently and reliably.
Using top quality filter fleece the residual dust content of under 5mg/m3 can be guaranteed. The cleaning of the filters is carried out using a differential pressure controlled pulse jet process.
Our system solutions are low on maintenance, easy to clean and designed for optimal product recovery.
Procedural drying applications:
- Fruit powders
- Coffee and cocoa powders, und tea extracts
- Milk and whey powder
- Starch
